There is nothing quite as thrilling as seeing a dark maned lion on the prowl. This dark mane is synonymous with the lions of the Kalahari, but as lion genetics have been diversified across south Africa, this dark mane is becoming a sign of the dominance of the Kalahari genetics in a variety of areas. This dominant male was found pursuing a challenger out of his territory and a little bit further for good measure.
