This beautiful male lion was found in the morning light sitting atop a small mound, surveying the plains around him. Though many think that lions are aggressive, they generally know what is and isn’t a threat, so will allow vehicles to within a reasonable distance.
We sat and watched this male for quite some time and photographed him against the bright light of the sky behind him. Lions spend approximately 19 hours sleeping each day, so every sighting where they are awake is an extra bonus in daylight hours!
